Pan Fried Tofu Steaks with Steamed Carrots tossed in a Fresh Cilantro Vinaigrette over a Tortilla strip nest
- 1 block of drained tofu
- 2 peeled carrots
- 1 bunch of fresh cilantro
- Chopped garlic
- 1 cup Olive oil
- 2 tbs White wine vinegar
- Salt/pepper
- One corn tortilla, cut in strips
- Sweet chili sauce
For The Vinaigrette
- De-stem cilantro
- Put cilantro, garlic and white wine vinegar and olive oil in blender and mix well.
- Slice tofu and season with salt and pepper
- Place tofu in a hot pan with about a cup of oil to prevent sticking. Flip when golden brown on bottom and continue cooking. During the cooking process of the second sidecmake room in your pan to fry up your stripped tortilla. Pull strips when brown. Pull tofu when brown on each side.
- Slice carrots and steam them until they are al dente. (Firm to the bite)
- Toss carrots in vinaigrette.
