Brie en Croute
- 1 wheel of Brie
- 1 pkg of puff pastry sheets (they usually come in pairs in the freezer section)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
- Lay out your puff pastry. With regular store bought puff pastry, it is too small to cover the whole wheel. I like to put the pastry in a diamond shape over lapping on the bottom and wrap to the top.
- Place your brie in the middle and the top with your honey and pecans. Be sure to get the honey all over the top but you donft need it to drizzle over the side.
- Bring the pastry up and over to the top of the cheese and wrap the excess to look like a little candy bow.
- Egg wash with one egg whipped with a little water. Make sure to not leave pools of egg on the dough.
- Bake at 350 for about 15 minutescuntil the dough is a lovely golden brown.
